“Finding beauty in imperfection, valuing simplicity and authenticity, embracing the connectedness of all things, & respecting the integrity of natural objects and processes”
Wabi-sabi Botanicals is beyond what you would expect and imagine in beauty and skincare products today. Combining natural ingredients, many of which are organic, all cruelty-free, all vegan, and unique ingredients, these are created with unconditional love and packaged into reusable glass containers! Natural, beautiful, and sustainable.
One of my favourite facial masks as recommended is KUSALA ‘MERITORIOUS ACTION’. This gentle mask combines kaolin clay, pink rose, matcha green tea, and rosehip to provide a beautiful, purifying, anti-aging, feel good mask. Instantly after using the mask, my skin feels incredible. This is definitely my go to mask which I really need to make some time for this week. Just thinking about it makes me want to pamper my skin and make it look and feel beautiful.
The other masks also have a place depending on your skin tone and personal preference. I originally thought I would like ARAHANT ‘PURE ONE’ the best as I love seaweed. I only tried a sample of this which is possibly why I still prefer KUSALA, but I really felt like a mermaid. I love the combination of sea clay, organic kelp, and organic chlorella algae. I have such a love for the ocean, and these powerful ingredients combine to create a mineral-rich mask, mostly helpful for oily, acne-prone skin types. For those cacao and coffee lovers, SAMPAJANNA ‘PRESENCE OF MIND’ might just be your go to. It combines Moroccan Rhassoul clay, organic raw cacao, and organic fair trade coffee for a rich, energizing mask. I love that all of the masks come in dry form which can be activated with water for a fresh facial that is pure, preventing mold or bacteria growing, and extending the shelf life.
I was following up my masks with AKALIKO ‘TIMELESS’ until now when I have been experimenting with MAGGA. AKALIKO is an interesting combination of oils combining argan oil, rosehip see oil, vitamin e, and optional essential oils. I opted for no essential oils this time. A little goes a long way, but a few drops massaged into your clean skin is essential. Also, you can use it to fade and prevent stretch marks. I have not personally tried this, but I definitely think it sounds great for expecting Mamas or Mamas who need it. Akaliko comes in a beautiful eco-friendly amber glass bottle.
Another alternative oil I have tried is MAGGA ‘PATH OUT OF SUFFERING’, a light balancing and healing oil including kukui nut oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, vitamin e oil, and optional essential oils. I am currently using this one which I follow up after my cleansing grains. I am really loving it. I have yet to be dissatisfied with any Wabi-Sabi Botanical products. They all seem to amaze me. I love how beautiful my skin feels. My only disappointment to all of them, is simply the fact that I do not get to consistently use them as a busy Mama (which is partly why this post has taken me so long), but I am working on it. I am learning that self-love is important and essential when caring for others. These products have given me a little bit of me time and made me feel like a beautiful Mama.
SAGGA ‘Heavenly Realm’ charcoal + rose cleansing grains is my personal favourite at the moment. It combines gluten free oats, kaolin clay, activated bamboo charcoal, and pink rose. My skin feels so soft and is left feeling completely clean, refreshed, and rejuvenated. Another success to add to my growing Wabi-Sabi products!
Although I have not tried all of the products, I am extremely interested in many and can almost guarantee they are just as lovely. I love getting updates on new listings. The current new listing that really seems to catch my eye is JIVA ‘LIFE’ which is a mist that combines distilled water, Hawaiian black lava salt (with activated coconut shell charcoal), Bolivian pink sea salt, coconut oil, soy glycerin, and marshmallow root extract. This can be used not only as a toner, but as a mist through your hair to create a beach look.
